3 Months

Our number 3 is 3 months today! Chase just gets cuter everyday. He is a pretty great baby too. He sleeps through the night most nights and really only fusses when he is hungry or tired. Camryn came home from school last week with a cold and passed it on to Chase so he hasn't been himself the past few days. He has a hard time getting comfy. Last night we moved him from his crib to his bouncy chair to help him with the coughing and it seemed to work. He started on some meds last night so hopfully the poor little fellow will feel better soon.

Camryn is still enjoying school. Her teacher tells me all the time that she is a hard worker and a good helper which I'm super thankful for. She's come a long way from when she was 2 and in Mrs. Hewitt's preschool class. I got asked to come and "discipline" her at least twice a week! The other day I sent her 2 caprisuns in her lunchbox because I wasn't sure if 1 would be enough (I normally send a thermos). That afternoon when I picked her up from school she said "Mommy, you gave me 2 sunburns!" HAHA!

As for Grant, well, he's just Grant. Never a dull moment with this kid. His days are spent obsessing about the Wiggles, getting into stuff he shouldn't, and taking his clothes off and sometimes his diaper too. I love being the mommy to these 3 kids! God has blessed me way more than I deserve. It is a lot of work, but I enjoy every minute of it...well, almost every minute of it!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my mom's birthday. She is 51 today and looks more like 31! I love you Mom. Thanks for being a great example to me of a godly mom and wife. I am truly blessed to call you my mom!

School

Camryn is officially a Kindergartner! So far she loves school and can't wait to go everyday. She is still having a hard time saying goodbye in the morning, but I'm sure she will get past it soon or I at least I hope she will. She doesn't full on cry she just tugs at our clothes and doesn't want to let go when we hug her goodbye. She had her first bit of homework this weekend and she was so excited about it. Since when did having homework become exciting?! I guess it makes her feel all grown-up to say she has homework. It was an all-about-me sheet that we had to fill out plus she had to bring a few things with her to school that represented her. One of the questions was if you had a million dollars what would you do with it and her answer was "share". Isn't that sweet?! I didn't even tell her to say that! Another one of the questions was what to do you like least about school. She thought and thought and finally said "well I like everything about school so I guess coming home." Well, thanks a lot Camryn!! HAHA!! I'm glad she likes school that much! I think her favorite part of the day is the special classes they get to do like, art, PE, music, etc. She really loves PE and the teacher who she calls "coach". She told us a couple of days ago that everybody calls him "Coach Fields" because he likes being outside. I don't think she understands that his last name is really "Fields"! Funny kid! She starts dance class tonight. She will be learning tap, jazz, and ballet. I hope she does well because if you've been around her for very long you know she is super clumsy. Maybe this will help her be a little more graceful! We shall see!

Happy Birthday Grant!

Our sweet Grant turned 2 on August 4th! Where has the time gone? I can't believe how big he is getting. He is talking more and more everyday. Yesterday he found a bag of clothes that a friend had given to us for him and he pulled out a shirt and put it on all by my himself. He ran into the kitchen where I was doing the dishes and yelled "Mama, Mama, coo shirt!! Coo shirt!" He thought his new shirt was pretty cool! So to celebrate his birthday we had a small party for him at Rotary park in Suntree which is on the Indian River. It was hot, but the breeze was really nice under the pavilion. Camryn and Grant had a blast playing in the water. Once Grant opened his gifts, he was done with the water and had a blast playing with all his new toys. He is obsessed with the Wiggles and that is not an exaggeration. That's pretty much all he talks about. So for his birthday, and thanks to his grandparents, he got everything Wiggles that Toys R Us sells! Here are some pictures of his special day.

Where to Begin?

The kids are napping so I thought I would sneak in some time to blog finally. Let's see, for starters our awesome church relocated this weekend to an elementary school across the street from our old building. We've outgrown our old place and this school will give us much more opportunity to grow. Yesterday was our first service and it went great! It was so neat to see so many of our church family come together to serve and set up. We are so blessed to be a part of this church and look forward to what God will do in the coming months!

Camryn is doing well! She turned 5 on Feb. 10th and seems to have hit a growth spurt. I was looking at pictures of her from the beginning of the school year and she has changed so much. This morning while I was getting ready she came into the bathroom and informed me that she really wants a "tootle dog". She kept saying "a tootle dog, I don't mean a fart dog, a real tootle dog." Then she said "you know, those little white dogs." I said "you mean a poodle?" "Yes mommy, a poodle dog, not a fart dog." So funny! She comes up with the funniest words. Yesterday she asked me if I thought I looked fabulous. I wasn't quite sure how to answer that. On our way home from youth last night, she said "raise your hand if you work all the time and are never home with your family." She kept waiting for Luke to raise his hand. Luke felt awful!! That just shows you how our life has been the past few weeks. You don't realize how much it affects your kids when you are so busy, but it does!

As for Grant...well let's just say he is anti-diapers these days. I can't keep a diaper on this kid. I've resorted to duct taping his diapers and this afternoon he managed to find a way to still get it off. It was full of poop too, but I caught him right as he was taking it off. I know..it's gross! I'm really considering potty training him. He's almost 20 months which seems a little young, but I'm not sure what else to do. I actually went looking for the potty chair in the garage today, but couldn't find it. In other Grant news, he is starting to say a lot of words. My favorites are "car", "no" (it just sounds so cute, I'm sure it will get old fast!), "door", "outside", and "sissy". He will point to family pictures and say "Daddy", "sissy", "baby" (that's what he calls himself), and then he just skips right past me. He's such a stinker! He refuses to say "mama" unless he really wants something! He can also point to most of his body parts and name them too. He's a genius! : )

Pregnancy is going alright. I'm having to be careful with my activity level because if I'm real active I start having cramps and contractions. Also, at my last Dr. visit they said I'm measuring 3-4 weeks small so I'm having an ultrasound in the morning to make sure all is well with the little guy. I'm not too worried because I measured small with Grant and he was just fine. I think it is just how I carry and also the way he happened to be positioned on the day of my Dr. visit. Some days I feel like my belly is huge then other days I don't feel that way. So we will see what the tech says tomorrow. But really we aren't too concerned.

Luke turned 31 on Friday! He's been making a lot of old people noises lately so I guess this is what I have to look forward too! : ) I don't make old people noises yet, I just make pregnant lady noises! Well, I better go finish this Oreo cake I'm making. It's Luke's birthday cake, but I'm taking it to small group to share. I've never made it, but Luke LOVES Oreos so I hope he likes it! I love trying new recipes.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Camryn and I spent the morning together while the boys were out doing a little shopping for us. We made chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate covered marshmallows for our guys. Some of them we rolled in crushed oreos. OH SO GOOD! Then we painted our toenails. Camryn really wanted to have "colorful" toenails so she has a different color on each toe. When we finished our toes we got a surprise valentines package from Grammie and Papo from the UPS man! It was a BEAUTIFUL bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates. Thank you Grammie and Papo! Hope everyone has a lovely Valentine's Day!

Sibling Love

I was doing a little cleaning around the house this afternoon after lunch and walked in the living room and saw these sweet kids watching a movie together in the recliner. I love it when I catch them just chillin together!

Turkey and Cheese Sandwich

On Saturday we spent the late morning and early afternoon working in Camryn's room. Her dresser was in need of some wood glue because the front of the drawers kept coming off. We also finally hung her curtains and some pictures on the wall. By the time we were done it was 1:30 and the kids were starving. Luke took them downstairs to start making their lunch while I finished up in Cam's room. I guess he told Camryn she could make her own sandwich which she has never done before. When I came downstairs Luke was on the phone with his Dad and he was trying to make Grant's PB sandwich. Camryn immediately let me know that her Daddy said she could make her own turkey and cheese sandwich today! I said okay and took over for Luke. I got Grant all situated in his seat and then Camryn announced that her sandwich was made and ready to be eaten. I look over and she has piled about 7 pieces of turkey and 7 pieces of cheese on her bread!! So cute! She didn't quite get what was so funny, but I explained to her that it was a little too much meat and cheese. She ended up with about 3 pieces of turkey and 2 pieces of cheese and she ate every bite! : )

Our Baby Boy

Here is a 3-D ultrasound picture of our new baby boy. We didn't have 3-D with Camryn or Grant so this is new to us. He's pretty cute huh? ; )

Stinkin' Sooners

Luke went to bed an unhappy man last night. I guess the Sooners can't handle the pressure of big games. This picture was obviously taken before the game!

What's That Smell?

Grant and I ran to the store last Sunday evening and on the way home I thought I smelled something a little fruity coming from the backseat. I wasn't sure what it was until I got home and open Grant's car door. He had found Camryn's red chap stick that she had left in the car. I guess he thought it tasted pretty good!

It's A Boy!

We are so excited to be adding another sweet little boy to our family. This whole time I was so sure we were having another little girl and so was Luke. So when the ultrasound tech said "boy" I was shocked! We were so sure that we were having a girl that we haven't really thought too much about a boy's

name. So right now this little guy is without a name. For some reason we can come up with a bunch of girl names we like, but we can't agree on anything for a boy. I'm sure we will have it all figured out by the end of May...we better anyways! It will be great having another little boy...a playmate for Grant since they will be so close in age. The Dr. says he looks healthy and weighs about 13 oz. He looked so cute in the ultrasound images and they showed him to us in a 3D image which was so cool to see. This morning while I was in the shower Camryn ran in and said "MOMMY!! Today is the day we find out whether the baby is a girl or a boy. I sure hope it's a girl. I want a sister." I tried to prepare her just in case it was a boy and told her how much we loved Grant and and that another brother would be fun too. She said "Well, as long as he doesn't have dark skin." Apparently our daughter is a little prejudice. Not sure where that came from! I then had to explain to her that it's not really possible for Mommy and Daddy to have dark skinned babies since we are SO white! When I picked her up from school her first question was "So what is it mommy??" She was disappointed until I pulled out his ultrasound picture and a little outfit that Grant and I had gone and bought for him. She is now thrilled and has been planning a baby shower for me tonight after dinner. : )
